EMPLOYMENT CRISIS WORKSHOP FOR ANGLO-SAXONS

Tel Aviv / Jerusalem-------January 29……..Minister of Trade Dalia Itzhak will be among several professional speakers to address a one day crisis employment seminar for Israeli Anglos to be held in Jerusalem on January 30th at the Mercure Hotel at 3:00 p.m.

"Anglos in Israel are facing an unemployment crisis which is unprecedented," said Nat Gordon, general manager of Marksman Personnel Ltd. "The economic depression affects all of us in Israel, but we Anglos are the strongest hit as we provide the professional support elements of administration, marketing, marcom and international sales. We decided to hold this emergency employment workshop to help provide Anglos with the direction needed to secure and retain employment during these very challenging days."

Among the speakers to address the one day seminar will be Nat Gordon, general manager of Marksman Personnel, Dr. Chaim Lavie, an organizational psychologist, and Mrs. Naomi Sa'ada, representative of "MATI" - the Jerusalem Business Development Center.

Unemployment figures today, provided by the Central Bureau of Statistics, are hovering around ten percent. One in five Israelis are living under the poverty level.
Over 70 percent of those working in Hi-Tech are presently unemployed.
